boAt is a consumer-electronics lifestyle brand from India (legally under Imagine Marketing Services Pvt. Ltd.) that specialises in audio products (earphones, headphones, speakers), wearables (smartwatches) and mobile accessories.
It was co-founded by Aman Gupta (CMO) and Sameer Mehta (CPO) around 2016 (though the idea dates back a little earlier).
The founding idea: to address the gap in the Indian market for stylish, good-quality but affordable audio and wearable accessories tailored for young, tech-savvy consumers.
